Ahoy, Krewe of Thalasar! On Saturday, September 19, 2026, Galveston will celebrate Texian Navy Day, honoring Texas maritime history from 1835 to the present.

⚠️ KREWE NOTE: This falls on the same day as our scheduled beach cleanup, so we’ll need to split our crew to make sure KOT is represented at both events. 🌊🧹⚓️

📍 Galveston’s Historic Pier 21 📅 Saturday, September 19, 2026

⚓️ 10:30 AM — Texas Navy Association Commissioning Ceremony Join the commemoration honoring the Texas Navy, including a wreath-laying ceremony and commissioning ceremony.

🚤 11:00 AM — Decorated Boat Parade Watch military, government, commercial, research, and recreational vessels parade past Pier 21 while the Texas Navy Association provides commentary during the pass and review.

🏴‍☠️ NOON–5:00 PM — Texas History Exhibit & Static Displays Explore historic organizations, boat displays, interactive exhibits, and information highlighting maritime education, technology, training, and career opportunities.

🎶 Music • Food • Fun • Cold Beverages Live music begins at 1:00 PM, including Kevin Anthony + G-Town!

As Galveston’s ONLY Nautical Krewe, this is a perfect opportunity for Thalasar to show up and celebrate the maritime history that connects so closely with who we are. 💜💚💛⚓️

We’ll share more information soon about how we’ll coordinate our Texian Navy Day crew and beach cleanup crew so members can choose where they’d like to help represent the Krewe.
