Thalasar Goes Green in Galveston

Thalasar Goes Green in Galveston

There’s something special about being part of a first—and this year, the Krewe of Thalasar had the honor of joining history in the making.

On March 14, 2026, Galveston hosted its first-ever St. Patrick’s Day parade, Luck o’ the Island, in the heart of Historic Downtown. What unfolded was a perfect blend of Irish charm and coastal energy—something only Galveston can truly pull off.

A New Tradition Begins

The Luck o’ the Island Parade marked the beginning of what’s sure to become a beloved annual celebration. With the streets lined with locals and visitors dressed in green, the atmosphere was electric. From festive floats to decked-out golf carts and island-inspired displays, the parade brought together creativity, community, and just the right amount of mischief.

Thalasar Takes to the Streets

The Krewe of Thalasar showed up in full spirit—bringing color, energy, and a little bit of magic to the route. Our crew leaned into the theme with vibrant greens, playful decorations, and that signature Thalasar flair that turns heads and sparks smiles.

Between the laughter, the music, and the crowd cheering us on, it was one of those moments you wish you could bottle up and relive.

Island Vibes Meet Irish Spirit

What made this parade stand out wasn’t just that it was the first—it was how uniquely Galveston it felt. Picture shamrocks paired with sunshine, rainbows against historic buildings, and a vintage trolley rolling past while beads and cheers filled the air.

It wasn’t just a parade—it was a celebration of community, creativity, and kicking off a brand-new tradition in true island style.

Here’s to Many More 🍀

If this year was any indication, Luck o’ the Island is here to stay—and we’re already looking forward to next year. The Krewe of Thalasar is proud to have been part of the inaugural celebration and can’t wait to see how it grows.

Until then… we’ll keep the shenanigans going.
