KOT Shines at World Ocean Day 2nd Year participating

The Krewe of Thalasar is proud to celebrate a creative and meaningful win at this year’s World Ocean Day event. In our second year participating, our talented crew took home both 2nd and 3rd place in the Artist Boat Beautify the Bucket competition—an accomplishment that reflects not only artistic expression, but a shared passion for protecting our coastlines.

This event brought together community members, artists, and ocean advocates to transform simple buckets into powerful visual messages. Each design told a story—one of conservation, awareness, and responsibility for the environment we all share.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed their time and energy to this effort. From planning and painting to cheering us on and representing our krewe, this was truly a team achievement. These buckets are more than artwork—they serve as reminders of the importance of cleaner beaches and the role each of us plays in environmental stewardship.
